Simple guide: how to choose a dome
Will it be for living, hosting guests, or for events? The purpose helps you choose the right size,
space, and base (foundation).
Dome for living and hosting guests (glamping base package)
If you want a dome for a small glamping project or to host guests like a small hotel,
a popular choice is a 6 m diameter dome with about 29 m² of space.
This size is great for a family (2 adults + 2 kids) and usually leaves room for a toilet and shower area.
Dome for weddings and events (176 m², up to 200 guests)
If you need a dome for weddings, banquets, or bigger events, choose a larger size.
A 15 m diameter dome with 176 m² can host up to 200 guests for a seated banquet.
For standing parties, the number of guests can be higher.
Base and installation
A dome can be installed without a fixed base for temporary events.
But keep in mind: the ground can release moisture, which may cause discomfort.
For a long-term setup, we recommend an insulated and waterproof base.
A concrete base is often more cost-effective than a wooden base, and it can include underfloor heating.
Underfloor heating can be connected to a heat pump and solar panels for comfort in all seasons.
